Pomander Gate Tennis Club currently offers a vibrant pickleball scene with 4 dedicated pickleball courts (with lights) allowing play from 8am to 8pm daily.
MIXER SESSIONS
Along with private court bookings, club members can sign up for group mixer sessions throughout the week. The mixers are organized by skill level - Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Play is for 2 hours with a maximum sign-up of 20 players. No need to arrive with a doubles partner for the mixers - everyone will rotate around and it's a great way to meet other players!
INTRO SESSIONS & DRILLS
The Club Manager can arrange intro sessions for brand new pickleballers. There are also regular drill sessions to work on shot selection and court positioning.
Pickleball players have the choice of two ladders:
PICKLEBALL LADDERS
The INDIVIDUAL Ladder - which is doubles pickleball with 4 individuals per ladder rung who meet and rotate partners to play best 2 of 3 games in each combination. Your scores count only for your own ladder result.
The TEAMS Ladder - which involves signing up with a defined partner (Mixed, Ladies or Mens teams are welcome). There are 4 teams per ladder rung and you meet each team to play best 2 of 3 games.
PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENTS
Fun and competitive pickleball tournaments are organized throughout the year. Some require a defined partner and some can be entered as an individual. All play is doubles pickleball.
